What is Seated Massage ?
Seated Acupressure Massage sometimes also called Onsite Massage or Chair Massage, is a fast and effective form of therapeutic treatment based on a form of Acupressure, Shiatsu and Swedish Massage. It concentrates on the back, shoulders, neck, arms, hands and scalp.Seated Massage is a meridian based theraphy in which thumb, finger, elbow and knuckle pressures are used to stimulate many of the acupressure points on the 12 major meridians accessible on the head, neck, back, arms and hands. This press-and-release technique helps to balance the flow of life-force energy throught the body. In turn, this stimulates the circulatory, muscular, nervous, immune and lymphatic systems and promotes the release of endorphins and important mood-regulation neurotransmitters, leaving the clients feeling relaxed.Chair massage is an ideal modality for busy workplaces, including offices as well as promotional business events aimed at products and services. It is a beneficial relaxation addition for you, your clients and guests!
How does Chair Massage look like ?
The client sits facing forward in a specially designed and fully adjustable chair for maximum comfort. The therapist uses a specific sequence of movements and pressures applied to the client’s back, neck, head, shoulders, arms and hands. An On-Site Massage session usually lasts between 10 to 30 minutes and takes place in a meeting room or a designated quiet area in the workplace. No oils are used and the client remains fully clothed, which makes it quick and easy for the client to return to work after a Chair Massage session.
Benefits of On Site Massage
Chair Massage relaxes muscles, releases tension, eases aches and pains. It can help reduce the likelihood of repetitive strain injury and carpel tunnel syndrome. This type of massage also alleviates symptoms of stress such as headaches, eyestrain and insomnia. Seated Massage can help with migraines, sinus problems, asthma, fatigue, digestive problems, anxiety, and irritability. Finally, On-site Massage releases emotional and mental tension which improves overall health and has a balancing effect on the body.
